End of a crankin' summer

Well it's winding down here in Auckland, the weather has taken a bit of a turn, (although it changes it's mind every 10 minutes!!) & we've been getting some much cooler temperatures and the expected rain..

Richie had his knee reconstruction just over 2 weeks ago now so is in full recovery mode on the couch, at home. Lucky he works from home now!! He's already able to peddle an exercycle &crutches around like he's been doing it forever, although he still can't put any weight on his leg for another few weeks.

I'm working full time as the Donor Care Coordinator for the RNZFB (Royal NZ Foundation of the Blind) so get my fair share of dog action around the office as well as getting back in to the ol' charity work thang. It's going well but I have only been here 2 weeks. Would love to still be working full time with doggies but it just wasn't possible here without starting up my own business.. Which was another option. But in the end, although I could have given it a shot, I figured having 1 business start up already this year was probably enough!!

Not much in the plans right now in the way of travel but I'm sure it won't be long til we plan something!!

Peace out
xx

Get better Rich, and don't worry, in a blink it'll all be over and you'll be "Super New Knee Guy", SNKG for short. Not quite sure how you pronounce that, but maybe you could turn it into a symbol of some sort, like Prince!

Congrats on your 2nd year marriage anniversary, and on your new job Nic! I think that it's fabulous that you're working for a great cause, and not just some stupid cooperation where the money ends up in some rich old guy's pocket to spend on hookers and blow. Not that those aren't great causes...

Things are great here in Whis, just getting into a bit warmer weather. Clay's working full time now, and I'm still at the same old job, but looking for a part-time job on the side to make extra cash for our big expedition. Probably drink slingin' or something with big tips. Money!!!

I just bought climbing gear and joined the climbing gym with Meesh and Davis and am having a blast!! Soooo much fun. It's such a challenge and my hands are getting ripped apart, but it's such a thrill. I've mainly been bouldering, and it's so tech, I can't believe it. Clay's getting gear next week to join us, and we'll be bring it with us to NZ so we can rock climb there as well.

Well, that's a bit for now, we'll have to skype again soon. Miss you guys lots. xxxx
